Arizona Pharmacist: CE & renewal requirements
30 CE contact hours every 2 years
Biennial, due October 31.

Required topics
- 3 hrs Pharmacy law
- Controlled-substance dispensers: 3 hrs opioid/SUD
- Immunizers: 2 hrs immunization
- Contraceptive-dispensing pharmacists: 3 hrs
First renewal & exemptions
New pharmacists are exempt between licensure and their first renewal (pro-rated otherwise).
If your license lapses
Practicing on an expired license is prohibited; excess hours don't carry over; reinstatement applies.
How CE is tracked
Attest your CEU count at renewal; submit proof within 20 days if audited; ACPE providers.
Watch out: The opioid, immunization and contraceptive hours are CONDITIONAL — required only if you hold that authorization — and no excess hours carry over.
