Arizona Real Estate Salesperson: CE & renewal requirements
24 CE contact hours every 2 years
Biennial; CE is accrued during each 24-month period of licensure.
Source: Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE) · confirmed 2026-06. Requirements change — always verify with the board.
Required topics
- 3 hrs each in six categories: Agency Law, Contract Law, Commissioner's Standards, Legal Issues, Fair Housing, Disclosure
- New since Jan 2025: 1 hr each Firewise, Deed Fraud, and Arizona Water (within the 24)
First renewal & exemptions
First renewal for salespersons is the standard 24 hours (no extra post-licensing CE).
If your license lapses
Renew within 1 year of expiration without re-exam; expired over 1 year terminates the license — you must reapply from scratch.
How CE is tracked
Submit course-completion certificates via the ADRE Licensee Login; only ADRE-approved courses count (max 9 CE hours per day).
Watch out: Three new 2025 topics (Firewise / Deed Fraud / Arizona Water) eat into your elective hours — the total stays 24 — and letting the license lapse over a year means starting over as a new applicant.
