30 CE contact hours every 2 years
Biennial — all licenses expire March 31 of odd-numbered years (a fixed board-wide date, not your birthday).

Required topics
- 3 hrs Ethics/Boundaries or Telehealth — alternating each renewal
- 2 hrs Prevention of Medical Errors — every renewal

First renewal & exemptions
No CE is required for your first renewal.
If your license lapses
Miss March 31 and the license becomes delinquent, then null; reactivation requires back CE plus fees.

Tracked via CE Broker (Florida's official system); approved providers report hours automatically.
Watch out: The 3-hr Ethics/Boundaries vs Telehealth requirement ROTATES — you must alternate and can't repeat the same one back-to-back — and the cycle is a fixed March-31-odd-year date, not your birthday.
