Required topics

First renewal & exemptions

Non-public-practice / certain non-reporting licensees have a reduced requirement — verify your status with the Board.

If your license lapses

Unmet CPE prevents renewal; practicing on a lapsed permit can trigger discipline.

How CE is tracked

Attest at biennial renewal via Mass.gov/ePLACE; keep records for audit.

Watch out: The cycle is July 1 – June 30 (not the calendar year), excess hours do NOT carry forward, and instruction is capped at 50% (max 40 hrs).
