36 CE contact hours every 2 years

Required topics

First renewal & exemptions

FIRST renewal is different — 30 hours of post-licensing education (modules), not the 36-hr CE breakdown. Licensees 65+ with 30+ years in NV may do a reduced 12 hours.

If your license lapses

You can't renew without submitting proof of completion to the Division; late/reinstatement steps apply after expiration.

How CE is tracked

Submit proof of completion to the Nevada Real Estate Division with your renewal (Form 580).

Watch out: Biggest trap: the FIRST renewal needs 30 hrs of POST-LICENSING education, not the standard 36-hr CE — and Nevada's 36 hours (half live) is unusually high vs. peer states.
