Tennessee Affiliate Broker: CE & renewal requirements

16 CE contact hours every 2 years

Required topics

First renewal & exemptions

First renewal owes the same 16 hours; affiliate brokers licensed before July 1, 1980 (no gaps) are exempt.

If your license lapses

Late fees escalate ($50 per 30 days up to 120 days; $100/month after); expired over a year means reapplying and re-testing.

How CE is tracked

Tracked via CE Broker (TREC's official CE system).

Watch out: Only ONE Core course per cycle counts toward CE — a second earns zero — and don't confuse the pre-license 30-hr New Affiliates course with CE.
