First renewal & exemptions

New licensees are exempt during their first year.

If your license lapses

Failing CE can bring disciplinary action; practicing on an expired license violates state law.

How CE is tracked

Self-attest on the annual renewal; keep certificates 4 years.

Watch out: Caps: max 5 hrs non-interactive, max 5 hrs practice management, max 3 hrs self-study — the rest must be live; up to 17 surplus hours carry to the next year.
